Yes, of course — you can rent a car even for 1 or 2 days.
However, please note that during high season it’s worth booking in advance to secure better prices and availability.
From our experience, it’s best to book 1–3 months before your trip.
If you try to book too early (6–12 months ahead), that period often isn’t priced yet, so prices may be higher.
In Madeira it’s especially worth booking in time: small-category cars are available from €33 with full insurance and no deposit.

If your flight is delayed, the car rental will wait for you.
If you know you’ll be more than 2 hours late or arriving on a different flight, it’s a good idea to let them know via WhatsApp or email. If you provided your flight number, the rental company will also track your flight, so they’ll know your exact landing time.
For night arrivals, with prior arrangement you can pick up the car at dawn or the next morning.
If the delay means you can’t pick up the car, our €500 guarantee covers the round-trip taxi to your accommodation and back to the rental the next morning.
