Payment
At most of our partners, payment happens on site at pickup: in cash, by bank card, Apple Pay or Google Pay.
With Go Rent a Car payment is only possible by bank card: you pay half of the rental fee when booking and the other half when picking up the car.

Yes, you can rent a car even for 1–2 days in Madeira.
In high season, however, it's worth booking in advance — you have a better chance of a good price and an available car.
In our experience it's best to book 1–3 months before your trip.
If you try to book too early (6–12 months ahead), the period is often not yet priced, so prices may be higher.

If you still can't pick up the car because of the delay
If you still couldn't pick up the car because of the delay, our €1000 guarantee covers the taxi to your accommodation and the trip back to the rental company the next morning.

Cancellation conditions by partner

Free cancellation 7 days before pickup. 4 days before pickup, 50%-a of the rental fee is refunded, within 3 days no refund. Cancellation can be arranged by e-mail.

The base rate doesn't include free cancellation. For a surcharge of €5 per day (maximum €30 per rental) the booking can be cancelled — in that case 50%-a of the rental fee is refunded. The surcharge itself is not refunded.
