If you rent directly, you can experience a huge difference in service. There is no significant price difference (10-20%), but you can enjoy many services, such as comprehensive casco insurance, deposit-free booking and unlimited mileage. There will be no hidden costs, and it saves you from many unpleasant disputes.
RentX Car Rental
You can rent a car from the age of 18. Please note: drivers under 21 may be subject to a young driver fee, payable at booking or upon car pick-up.
Madlobos Rent a Car
The minimum age is 23, and you must have held your driving license for at least 2 years.
Rent a Car Madeira
Drivers aged 23 or younger, or those who’ve held their driving license for less than one year, must leave a security deposit (€600) by cash or card at the time of rental.
RentX Car Rental: Only the renter can drive the rented car, but there is an option to add additional drivers for a fee of €5.00 per driver per day.
MADlobos Rent a Car: Includes 1 additional driver for free.

You can cancel or modify your booking free of charge by emailing bookings@rentx.com.
Refund conditions:
• Up to 7 days before pick-up – Full refund (excluding any associated fees)
• Up to 4 days before pick-up – 50% refund (excluding any associated fees)
• 3 days or less before pick-up – No refund
Madlobos Rent a Car
You can cancel free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled pick-up time.
Rent-A-Car Madeira
You can cancel or modify your booking free of charge up to 48 hours before.
