“Car4YouMadeira” is a brand name. The legal operator is the individual entrepreneur (EV) listed above.

3.1 Quote request (WPForms)

When you request a quote, we process the information you provide, such as:

• Contact data: name, email address, phone number / WhatsApp (if provided)
• Trip & rental details: pick-up/drop-off location, dates and times, driver age, car preferences, extras, notes/messages

3.2 Booking assistance (only if you request a booking)

If you decide to proceed with a booking, we may ask for additional information required by the selected rental partner, such as:

• full name
• phone number
• email address
• date of birth
• driver’s license issue date (YYYY/MM/DD)
• flight number

Important: We request these additional details only to submit the booking request in your name with the selected rental partner. The rental contract is between you and the rental partner.

3.3 Communications

We process messages and attachments you send via email or WhatsApp (e.g., confirmations, questions, and booking details).

6.1 Rental partners (Portugal) — only for booking requests

If you request a booking, we will use the details you provide to submit a booking request with the selected rental partner. Rental partners act as independent controllers for the rental contract and their own compliance:

• RentX Car Rental (Portugal)
• Rent-A-Car Madeira (Portugal)
• Auto Canhas Rent a Car (Portugal)

We do not automatically send your form data to partners. We only submit booking details to a partner when you explicitly want to proceed with a booking and provide the necessary booking details.

6.2 Service providers (hosting, email, storage)

We use service providers to operate the website and handle communications and internal administration, such as:

• Sybell (hosting and email services)
• Email via Gmail (our Sybell email is also connected to Gmail for mailbox access)
• Google Sheets (internal administration/lead tracking; access limited to our own accounts)

These providers may act as processors and/or independent controllers depending on the service and context. They process data according to their own terms and data processing arrangements.

6.3 Communication tools

If you contact us via WhatsApp, WhatsApp may process personal data according to its own terms and privacy policy. We recommend avoiding sending unnecessary sensitive details via messaging apps.

• Booking details provided but no booking is completed: up to 12 months

Our forms use spam prevention settings (WPForms “Modern anti-spam protection” and minimum time to submit).
